Identify and undertake research of a technology or a processing initiative which has been implemented in another country and is not currently used by your Customs administration but which could be adopted to improve a particular Customs operation or process (e.g. passenger processing, cargo clearance, export processing, warehousing, transit cargo, etc.). Explain the current operation or process and its deficiencies and how the introduction of your chosen initiative will improve it and help your administration meet its responsibilities. In doing so you should provide analysis of the impact the initiative has had in countries where it has been introduced. You should also identify any international standards or agreements which are relevant to the operation or process and to the initiative.
